My Story: When It All Started
After I had my last child, everything changed. I started feeling constant anxiety, exhaustion, and a deep sense that something just wasn’t right. This was in the '90s, and back then, anxiety wasn’t something people really talked about. I thought I was going crazy. Doctors kept telling me my bloodwork was fine — but no one noticed that my ferritin was never over 11.
At the time, I was a mom of three, working two jobs with no support system. I was running on empty, physically and emotionally. My low iron and undiagnosed anxiety eventually forced me to stop working, which was heartbreaking but necessary.
Then came perimenopause, and it hit hard. I faced years of heavy, relentless bleeding and hormonal chaos. Over the past two years, I’ve had to undergo two surgeries just to manage the bleeding and regain some sense of normalcy.
It’s been a long and difficult road. But through it all, I am learning to listen to my body, to speak up for myself, and to turn toward natural wellness when the traditional system didn’t have answers. That’s what inspired me to start this site — to share what I’ve learned and to let others know they’re not alone.
