Rebuilding my iron levels.

What This Journey Is About:
Supporting my body through low iron levels and learning how to nourish myself.

My iron story started after having my last child. I experienced severe hemorrhaging and needed blood to recover. From that point on, my iron levels were never in the “good” range again.

Over the years, the problem kept building. I lived with constant low iron, always just scraping by, never really feeling strong or fully myself.

In the past two years, things became even harder:

I was hospitalized six times for severe blood loss.

I needed multiple iron infusions to bring my levels up enough to function.

I went through two surgeries for polyps and fibroids, the hidden causes behind so much of my bleeding.

The toll this took on my body was enormous. I battled debilitating fatigue, dizziness, and a kind of exhaustion that went far beyond just being tired. There were days when even the smallest tasks felt impossible.

What I’ve Learned Along the Way

Iron is everything. When it’s low, it affects every part of life—energy, focus, mood, even heart health.

Quick fixes help, but they’re not the end of the story. Infusions and surgeries were lifesaving, but rebuilding iron takes long-term care, day by day.

So many women go through this silently. Fibroids, polyps, heavy periods, and postpartum blood loss are more common than we’re told. They’re not “just part of being a woman”—and they deserve real attention.

Why I Share

I share my journey because I know how isolating it can feel to live with low iron. If you’re exhausted, dizzy, or wondering why you never feel like yourself—it might not just be “life.” It might be your iron.

Rebuilding takes time, but it is possible. My story is ongoing, but I’ve learned how to support my body with foods, supplements, and self-care tools that make a real difference.
